Surprise! Harasi M. just won a million bucks in a Colorado Lottery Second-Chance Drawing! She said she can't wait to become a big tipper.
Harasi M. thought her biggest surprise on Wednesday morning would be the high school tornado drill.
When she entered the faculty break room, the Colorado Lottery Prize Surprise crew was waiting there with a huge check for $1 million. Harasi was overcome with emotion as her colleagues cheered and clapped, some of whom still believed it was an elaborate prank. Randomly chosen from more than 300,000 entries, it was Harasi’s non-winning Torrent of Wealth Scratch ticket that won the Second-Chance Drawing.
When asked how a million dollars might change her life, Harasi said, “I would like to tip the waiters more.” She plans to visit her daughter, who is a doctor on the East Coast, and support her other daughter who is still attending college. Harasi’s co-worker Chris was instrumental in pulling off the surprise. “No one is more deserving of this than Harasi,” she said.
