Young man chooses winning numbers from bible verses, saves winnings for college
Christopher V. of Dillon won $50,000 on his $2 Powerball ticket! Christopher has been playing the Lottery for only 3 months (since he’s been old enough to play) and says he always chooses his own numbers based on bible verses - talk about answered prayers! Christopher, who works at Panera Bread as a baker, said, “I was shocked and speechless.” Christopher says he will use his winnings to save for college. Smart move, Christopher - big congratulations!
Christopher’s winning numbers were 03-16-23-51-68 PB 07 and he purchased his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 180 Stephens Way in Silverthorne.
Where the Money Goes
Since the very first ticket was sold in 1983, the Lottery has given back over $4 billion for good causes all across the state, at no cost to taxpayers. Lottery proceeds have funded countless projects, large and small, in every community from the Eastern Plains to the Western Slope. See where the money goes.
