Commissioner Reece will represent the Western Slope region

The Colorado Lottery is pleased to welcome Christian Reece of Grand Junction as its newest Commissioner! Appointed by Gov. Jared Polis, Reece will help guide the Lottery’s efforts to raise funds for outdoor projects, recreation, and conservation throughout Colorado.

Reece brings a wealth of experience, with an MBA and her current role as Outreach and Engagement Regional Program Manager for the University of Colorado. A dedicated community member, she’s actively involved in organizations like Rotary and Junior Service League. She also served on the City of Grand Junction Planning Commission from 2012-2021, serving eight years as Chair.

Her deep connection to the Western Slope, home to Lottery-funded projects such as the Palisade Plunge, Kochevar Open Space, and Trampe Ranch, makes her a valuable addition to the Commission.

“We are thrilled with the governor’s choice for our commission,” said Tom Seaver, director of the Colorado Lottery. “The lottery is fortunate to have her comprehensive experience to help oversee our organization, and this is the first time in at least recent history that the lottery commission has had representation from the Western Slope.”

Reece’s term on the Commission will last four years.
