The Colorado Lottery is proud to have served Coloradans for more than three decades. When the organization first started in 1983, it offered one Scratch game at a time. Today, the Lottery offers a variety of more than two dozen Scratch games that appeal to all types of Lottery players, as well as Jackpot game drawings every day of the week. Annual proceeds have increased from roughly $41 million in 1983 to more than $195 million in FY 2023. Over the years, money raised by the Lottery has helped make Colorado a better and more beautiful place to live – four billion times over.
The mission of the Colorado Lottery is to maximize revenues for its proceeds recipients while demonstrating the highest level of integrity expected of a state agency. The two sides of that mission are linked forever, because increased revenue goals cannot be achieved without responsibility, integrity, and security.
