The Colorado Lottery is proud to have served Coloradans for more than four decades. When the organization first started in 1983, it offered one Scratch game at a time. Today, the Lottery offers a wide variety of Scratch games that appeal to all types of Lottery players, as well as Jackpot game drawings every day of the week. Annual proceeds have increased from roughly $41 million in 1983 to more than $195 million in FY 2024. Over the years, money raised by the Lottery has helped make Colorado a better and more beautiful place to live – four billion times over.
The mission of the Colorado Lottery is to maximize revenues for its proceeds recipients while demonstrating the highest level of integrity expected of a state agency. The two sides of that mission are linked forever, because increased revenue goals cannot be achieved without responsibility, integrity, and security.
