How to Play Powerball

Two Ways to Play

Pick five numbers from 1 to 69 or choose Quick Pick (QP) and the terminal will randomly pick numbers for you. Select one number from 1 to 26 or choose Quick Pick for the Powerball.

Never Miss a Drawing

Never miss a drawing by purchasing plays in up to 39 consecutive drawings at once, or 13 weeks in advance. Just check the Advance Play box on the Playslip and let the retailer know how many drawings you want to play. You will play the same numbers for all drawings.

Power Play

For an extra $1 per play, add the Power Play option to multiply your winnings up to ten times the original amount (jackpot and Match 5 prize not included). The Power Play multiplier (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X,  or 10X) is drawn before the Powerball winning numbers. Once the Powerball jackpot hits $150 million, the 10X multiplier is dropped.

Double Play

For an extra $1 per play, add the Double Play option for a second chance to match your Powerball numbers. This additional drawing happens immediately after the Powerball drawing and gives you a chance to win up to $10 million.

More About Your Ticket

This is how your ticket will look once printed. Your ticket will show your numbers and the range of draw dates for which it is eligible. You will also see "Power Play YES" and "Double Play YES" to confirm your add-on selections.
