Pick your numbers
Select 5 out of 59 numbers and 1 out of 39 numbers for Power Play using a Playslip, or check the QP (Quick Pick) box on the Playslip, or simply ask the retail clerk for a Powerball Quick Pick.
Purchase your ticket
Powerball tickets cost $1 and are available at most Colorado retailers.
Sales begin at 4:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. Sales are suspended Wednesdays and Saturdays at approximately 7:30 p.m. for draw break. Sales resume the following morning.
Save time and purchase draws in advance
Save trips to the store and purchase up to 13 weeks (26 drawings) in advance with Advance Play. Just check the Advance Play box on the Playslip. You'll play the same numbers for all drawings.
Add Power Play to win more
For an additional $1 per line of play, add Power Play to your ticket and you can multiply your winnings (excluding the jackpot) up to five times. For example: 3 lines of play plus Power Play will cost you $6.
During the Powerball drawing, the Power Play number (2, 3, 4 or 5) will be drawn. If you purchased Power Play and your ticket wins, non-jackpot prize levels from $2 to $250,000 will be multiplied by the number drawn! And if you match five white balls, you'll could win a hot $1,000,000!
During the month of May, one of the number 5X multipliers will be replaced with a 10X. If the 10X is selected, the non-jackpot Powerball base prizes won for that drawing will be multiplied ten times for players who also purchased the Power Play.
Even the $200,000 Match 5+0 prize, which is usually 5X, can be changed to a 10X prize. During the promotional period, if you match 5 white ball numbers, purchased the Power Play and the 10X is selected as the Power Play number, you could multiply the base prize of $200,000 times ten and could win $2 million. *See Lottery disclaimers
