Colorado celebrated its first Powerball jackpot win on October 23, 2007
Two families went in together to purchase a ticket and picked their own numbers: 12, 16, 31, 33, 54 and Powerball 5, a combination of special dates and lucky numbers, that won them a hot $26 million. The Safeway in Westminster on Church Ranch Boulevard sold the winning ticket.
Since May 2009, five one million dollar jackpots have been won!

Hit 5 white ball numbers and Power Play and you could win a million!
Over 40 percent of Coloradoans purchase the Power Play option for an extra buck. That's because they know that Power Play multiplies their winnings. If five white ball numbers are matched and the Power Play option is played, your winnings will be $1,000,000. Since August 2005, seven lucky players have won $1 million bucks this way.
